Le Centre mondial pour les TIC au Parlement a été informé par le Sénat d'Italie qu'un service en ligne de conversion des documents électroniques en format "ebook" a été lancé récemment sur le site web su Sénat, dans l'optique d'améliorer l'accès aux informations parlementaires à partir des appareils internet mobiles. Le service est disponible gratuitement à http://www.senato.it/ebook.

The Global Centre for ICT in Parliament has been informed by the Senate of Italy that an online service for converting electronic documents into "ebook" formats has been recently launched on the Senate’s website with a view to increase access to parliamentary information from tablet and mobile devices. The service is freely available at http://www.senato.it/ebook.

The White House has released the software code for its IT Dashboard and TechStat toolkit. The initiative was coordinated through Civic Commons, a code-sharing project incubated within Code for America that helps governments share technology for the public good, with support from OpenPlans.

The Africa i-Parliament Action Plan convened a workshop to localise the Bungeni Parliamentary Information System and Akoma Ntoso Standards to the requirements of the different Portuguese speaking parliaments in Africa.

Parliamentary documents such as committee reports and texts of debates and hearings are fundamental records of the legislature. These documents must be prepared quickly, efficiently and accurately. They must be distributed easily and then amended, revised and redistributed just as easily. And they must be archived effectively to ensure availability and long-term preservation. The findings of the 2010 edition of the World e-Parliament Report indicate that timely public availability of such legislative records is a key ingredient for a more open, transparent and accountable legislature, and therefore a cornerstone of healthy parliamentary democracies.
