The Slovenian Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Public Health (Inštitut za varovanje zdravja - IVZ, in Slovenian) are cooperating in 'Smart Open Services for European Patients' (epSOS), the main European electronic health (eHealth) interoperability project co-funded by the European Commission and partner countries.

For € 10 million, Estonia implemented a national electronic health record (EHR) in 2009 at a cost equivalent to € 7.50 per citizen.

Only two weeks after the implementation of a prototype ePrescription system in the pharmacies and clinics of Leszno city and county, Central Poland, more than 5 000 prescriptions had already been registered in the system.

2 546 private doctors throughout Greece who collaborate with the state-run Farmer's Pension Fund (OGA) have joined the Electronic Prescription System (Σύστημα Ηλεκτρονικής Συνταγογράφησης - Σ.Η.Σ., in Greek) of the Insurance Organisation of the Self-Employed (OAEE).

'eMedikation', i.e. electronic prescriptions as the first large-area of Austria's Electronic Health Record ('ELGA' - Elektronische Gesundheitsakte, in German) project, will start on 1 April 2011 in three pilot regions.

The Estonian Medical Prescription Centre was the uncontested winner in the eHealth category of the 'Best e-services in Estonia 2011' competition, it was announced on 22 February 2011.
