JoinUp The Belgium Federal ICT Department (Fedict) has published new beta versions of several open source components for eIdentity (eID), including the Identity Provider and the Signature Service SDK, it was announced in January 2011. The Identity Provider (IDP) allows the integration of websites and platforms (the "relying party") that support OpenID or SAML. The IDP runs on a Java server, but the relying party may be written in any language.
