MissionsTechnical Assistance Missions Technical assistance mission to the National Assembly of TanzaniaWithin the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in SADC Parliaments”, the Global Centre undertook a technical assistance mission to the National Assembly of Tanzania from 31 October to 4 November 2011. The mission focused on perception and understanding of the vision, mission and core values of the Parliament and made the assessment of the ICT system in order to deliver a report with strategic direction and recommendations. First technical assistance mission to the National Assembly of BelizeIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in Caribbean Parliaments”, a first technical assistance mission visited the National Assembly of Belize from 11 to 14 October 2011. The team met with the Clerk of the National Assembly, Officers of the Main Office and Registry Section, as well as with the ICT focal point to understand and assess the current state of ICT in the parliament.
Technical Assistance Mission to the Senate and National Assembly of LesothoIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in SADC Parliaments”, a first technical mission was conducted to the Parliament of Lesotho (03 to 07 October 2011) to carry out an assessment of the status of ICT in the Senate and the National Assembly and make initial recommendations for the ICT Strategic Plan. First Technical Assistance Mission to the Assembly of the Republic of MozambiqueIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in SADC Parliaments”, a first technical mission was conducted to the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique (19 to 23 September 2011) to carry out an assessment of the status of ICT in the Parliament and make initial recommendation for the ICT Strategic Plan. First Technical Assistance Mission to the Parliament of BarbadosIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a first technical mission was conducted to the Parliament of Barbados (19 to 23 September 2011) to carry out an assessment of the status of ICT in both Houses of the Parliament and make initial recommendation for the ICT Strategic Plan. Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of SeychellesIn the framework of the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the SADC Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the National Assembly of Seychelles (4 to 9 September 2011) by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and the SADC Parliamentary Forum, with support from an expert from the Parliament of Finland. Second Technical Assistance Mission to the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican RepublicIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a second technical mission was conducted to the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic (1 to 6 August 2011). Following the assessment previously undertaken, the second mission focused on the preparation of the ICT Strategic Plan. Technical Assistance Mission to the Parliament of Antigua and BarbudaIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda (25 to 28 July 2011) to carry out an assessment of the status of ICT in the Assembly and make initial recommendation for the ICT Strategic Plan. The mission team was composed by a senior expert on ICT in Parliament and IT experts from the House of Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago and CARICAD.
Technical Assistance Mission to the House of Assembly of Saint Vincent and the GrenadinesIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the House of Assembly of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (19 to 22 July 2011) to carry out an assessment of the status of ICT in the Assembly and make initial recommendation for the ICT Strategic Plan. The mission team was composed by a senior expert on ICT in Parliament and IT experts from the House of Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago and CARICAD.
Second Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of ZambiaIn the framework of the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the SADC Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the National Assembly of Zambia (11 to 15 July 2011) by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and the SADC Parliamentary Forum, with support from experts from the Parliament of South Africa and the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal. Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of ZimbabweIn the framework of the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the SADC Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the National Assembly of Zimbabwe (4 to 8 July 2011) by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and the SADC Parliamentary Forum, with support from an expert from the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The mission focused on the assessment of the current situation of ICT in the parliament, with a view to assist with the development of its ICT Strategic Plan. Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of MalawiIn the framework of the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the SADC Parliaments”, the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and the SADC Parliamentary Forum conducted a second technical mission to the National Assembly of Malawi (27 June to 1 July 2011). Following the initial assessment undertaken previously, the mission focused on the drafting of the ICT strategic plan for the Parliament with specific objectives and a roadmap for implementation. Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of SwazilandIn the framework of the project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the SADC Parliaments” funded by the European Commission, a mission team of the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament undertook the first assessment mission to the National Assembly of Swaziland from 13 to 17 June 2011. The mission focused on the assessment of the current situation of ICT in the Parliament, with a view to assist with the development of its ICT Strategic Plan. Technical Assistance Mission to the National Assembly of GuyanaIn the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a technical mission was conducted to the National Assembly of Guyana (13 to 17 June 2011) to carry out an assessment of the state of ICT of the Assembly. The mission team was composed by a Senior Advisor of the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and IT experts from the National Assembly of Panama and CARICAD. Technical Assistance Mission to the House of Assembly of DominicaA technical mission was conducted to the House of Assembly of Dominica from 6 to 10 June 2011. The mission aimed to carry out an assessment of the state of ICT of the House of Assembly and to outline gaps and opportunities for future strategic recommendations for its improvement. The mission team was composed by a Senior Advisor of the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and an IT expert from the National Assembly of Panama. |
