Prepared with support from the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament the Guidelines draw on lessons learned by parliaments so far and on good practice in the social media sphere. A finales de 2008, y en consulta con la UIP, el Centro Global para TIC en los Parlamentos, emprendió la tarea de actualizar las Directrices a fin de que reflejaran los avances de la tecnología y las nuevas prácticas introducidas en los parlamentos en los últimos años. Fin 2008, le Centre mondial pour les TIC au Parlement a entrepris, en accord avec l’UIP, de mettre à jour les Principes directeurs afin de rendre compte des progrès de la technique et des nouvelles pratiques apparues ces dernières années dans les parlements. In late 2008, the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, in consultation with the IPU, undertook the task of updating the Guidelines to reflect advances in technology and new practices in parliaments that have emerged in the last several years.
