SI: Call for tenders for establishment of interoperable information system for eHealth

The Ministry of Health launched on 18 October 2011 a call for tenders entitled 'Creation of an interoperable information system (IS) to serve as an eHealth backbone'. The call will remain open for proposals until 18 November. 3 - Description:
The interoperable IS backbone for eHealth contract notice, which was published on the eProcurement portal, calls for the establishment of Furthermore, it intends to increase access to patient medical information considerably and to facilitate a more efficient exchange of health records among healthcare providers such as hospitals, medical centres, insurance companies and pharmacies. The ministry envisages that such an interoperable IS will result in higher quality patient care. The infrastructure will be designed to support international standards, which will also enable the international exchange of and access to data. The contract will consist of three planned phases:
