La Conférence mondiale 2012 sur l’e-Parlement a eu lieu à la Chambre des députés d'Italie, à Rome, les 13, 14 et 15 Septembre. La clôture de la Conférence a coincidé avec la Journée internationale de la démocratie, établie en 2008 par l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies.

Legislative XML Summer School LEX12, Managing Legal Resources in the Semantic Web

The school provided knowledge of the most significant ICT standards emerging for legislation, judiciary, parliamentary and administrative documents. The course provided an understanding of their impact in the different phases of the legislative and administrative process, awareness of the tools based on legal XML standards and their constellations, and the ability to participate in the preparation and use of standard-compliant documents throughout law-making process.
This year the course took place in Ravenna, Italy, on 10-15 September 2012.
It was followed on 17-18 September by a Akoma Ntoso Developers Workshop.

Les standards de document sont vitaux – particulièrement les standards ouverts, comme le XML, pour le balisage des éléments des enregistrements, afin qu’ils puissent être interprétés correctement par les ordinateurs pour leur édition, leur recherche, leur partage et leur préservation. Les documents préparés en formats propriétaires limitent la capacité de satisfaire les besoins futurs et, finalement, peuvent coûter plus cher à l’entretien. Cependant, il ne fait aucun doute que la mise en application des standards ouverts, tels que ceux basés sur XML, pose un certain nombre de défis.

The Report of the World e-Parliament Conference 2008 is now available.

The World e-Parliament Conference 2008 took place at the European Parliament in Brussels on 25 and 26 November 2008. The Conference was co-organized by the European Parliament and the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, a joint initiative of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and a core group of partners, established in 2006 to promote the role of parliaments in advancing the Information Society goals as well as the effective use of ICT for the modernization of parliamentary processes.

World e-Parliament Conference 2007 - Challenges and benefits of ICT in parliamentary processes

The World e-Parliament Conference provided an opportunity to debate the challenges and benefits provided by ICT and analyzed successful approaches, identified good practices and lessons learned.
The Conference was aimed at parliamentarians, Secretaries General and parliamentary staff and officials who work with ICT, such as legislative staff, IT administrators, knowledge managers and librarians.
