The Ministry of Health and Care Services (Helse- og omsorgsdepartementet, in Norwegian) is conducting a public consultation for a new white paper on eHealth in Norway. Input can be submitted through a blog which will remain open until 1 June 2012.

On 16 September 2011, the Federal Council of Switzerland initiated a consultation on the draft federal law on electronic patient records. With this law in place, it is hoped that electronic patient records will lead to better treatment processes in terms of quality and higher patient safety, as well as to a more efficient health system.
