In the framework of the European Commission funded project “Support to ICT Strategic Planning in the Caribbean Parliaments”, a second technical mission was conducted to the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic (1 to 6 August 2011). Following the assessment previously undertaken, the second mission focused on the preparation of the ICT Strategic Plan.

The technical mission to the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic was conducted from 28 February to 4 March 2011. With the assistance of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico and the Senate of Chile, the mission aimed to assess the current state of ICT in the Chamber of Deputies, what challenges it faces, and what objectives it has for the use of technology.

11 June 2007 - The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Inter-Parliamentary Union organized a briefing for Permanent Representatives and Permanent Observers to the United Nations on the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament's goals, activities and initial achievements. The briefing, held as part of the Global Centre's advocacy and raising-awareness activities, was attended by around sixty delegates from more than thirty Member States.
