At the request of the OECD (Organization of Economic Co-Operation and Development), the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament participated in the assessment on the use of ICT in the Parliament of the Republic of Georgia, from 22 to 26 March 2010. The technical assistance mission focused on openness, transparency and effectiveness of legal drafting process in the Parliament, mainly through reforming the IT system (internet and intranet), to improve efficiency of the activity of MPs and of consultative and participatory mechanisms. The assessment is part of a larger programme aiming at enhancing the capacity of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament. A second assessment mission is scheduled for September 2010.
