TransparencyCamp is an "unconference" for opengov: an event where, each year, journalists, developers, technologists, policy-makers, government officials, students, academics, and everyone in between gather to share their knowledge about how to use new technologies and policies to make our government really work for the people -- and to help our people work smarter with our government.

The convergence of African urbanization and technological change, including the rise of digital media, is driving major change. Perhaps most dramatic, use of cellphones and other mobile devices, already widespread, are becoming a nearly universal platform, not only for telephony but also for audio and video information and entertainment.
The purpose of this book is to present our views of knowledge management, and to describe the various processes that we have used in our Parliament to outline and analyse the role and importance of knowledge management, its essential components and application in practice during the years 2000–2001.
For MPs and the parliamentary administration, the use of social media remains at an experimental stage. The objective of this conference is therefore to exchange experience on the risks and benefits of social media, and to contribute to more effective use of social media by parliaments.
The Library of Congress of the United States of America has launched the new legislative information resource web page Congress.gov, beta version. Congress.gov makes federal United States legislative information freely available to the public.
The World e-Parliament Report 2012 documents the efforts of legislatures to use information and communication technologies (ICT) to support their constitutional functions. The Report is based on the Global Survey of ICT in Parliaments 2012 conducted by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament between February and May 2012, which is the third in a series of surveys that began in 2007.

The National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Sunlight Foundation and the Latin American Network for Legislative Transparency launched the website www.openingparliament.org to serve as a forum to help connect the world's civic organizations engaged in monitoring, supporting and opening up their countries' parliaments and legislative institutions.
At the Conference "PMO Leaders Conference on Parliamentary Transparency and Networking" concluded on 2 May 2012, parliamentary monitoring organizations (PMOs) from all regions of the world shared their experiences and good practices on a host of topics, from monitoring political finance to advocating for greater transparency of parliamentary information. The PMOs at the conference agreed to continue to work together in a number of concrete areas, including a shared declaration of principles on parliamentary transparency.

This report focuses on study of cases concerning organizational, political and social aspects that interfere in the successes and challenges of some experiments in legislative digital democracy. It is the result of 4-years research on legislative e-democracy
in several parliaments throughout the world, supported by University of
State of Rio de Janeiro and the Ash Center for Democratic Governance
and Innovation from University of Harvard.

For more than 20 years the Jurix Conference has provided an international forum for academics and practitioners in the field of legal informatics for sharing ideas and experiences on the representation of legal content and its representation in computer systems. We invite submission of original papers on the advanced management of legal information and knowledge (foundations, methods, tools, systems and applications).
The Reports, prepared by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament, intend to help legislatures to harness the potential benefits of ICT for their work and establish key goals and priorities for exploiting this valuable resource. While providing evidence of the complexities of e-parliament, the Reports suggest ways to overcome some of the obstacles to the effective use of technology in parliamentary settings.
The concept of forming “The Electronic Parliament” by 2015 was approved at the session of the Presidium of the Council of the RF President on development of the information society in Russia, the website of the Commission on Modernization and Technological Development of Economy of Russia i-russia.ru reports.
